With WiseStats now live on the Interwebz, and a WiseStats Blog talking about the product, this old blog has been somewhat neglected. We’ve decided to use this one more sparingly for non-WiseStats discussion… which there isn’t very much of since we’re living, breathing, and (probably) bleeding WiseStats right now.

But there is some news to share on this fine July day, and it comes with mixed feelings:

Summer Solstice, the day of the year with the longest period of sunlight (or cloud-light if you’re in Victoria), seemed a sentimental occasion to launch the first version of our crown jewel, WiseStats.

The Final Countdown

So, we decided that Summer Solstice is it. June 21st, finished or not, the first version of WiseStats will be live. And yikes – that’s barely more than a month away. While we finish tinkering under the hood and slap on the final coats of paint, here’s a brief list of some things WiseStats lets you do:

• Preview each upcoming game in each of the Big 6 leagues with WiseStats ‘Matchup Stats’, which include head-to-head statistics based on historical stats back to 2005, historical matchup results, injury/weather reports, and the latest news headlines
• Get real-time sports odds across 12 of the largest and most popular online odds markets
• Set alerts to be notified about changes to odds
• Log your picks with just a couple clicks and get insights into which types of picks you’ve been winning, your overall position, and ROI. Colorful charts will make it easy to understand!
